Tooth Implants
Dental implants may be an option for people who have lost a tooth or teeth due to periodontal disease, an injury, failed root canal, decay or fracture. They can also be used to help hold and retain full and partial dentures.
A dental implant is an artificial tooth root which is made of titanium metal that is placed into your jaw to hold replacement teeth which are called crowns or bridges.
At Anastasia Dental we use an oral maxillofacial surgeon ( oral surgeon) or a periodontist (a gum specialist) to perform this surgery, ensuring you receive the best possible care. Once the surgery is performed and the bone has integrated successfully with the implant, at Anastasia Dental we restore with a crown or bridge.
All of our implant restorations are hand crafted in a local Brisbane dental laboratory rather than being sent to an overseas laboratory . We do this to ensure the quality metals and porcelains compliment the workmanship and satisfy strict Australian recomendations and expectations. We use only genuine matching parts that comply with manufacturers recommendations.
Following an examination, we can advise whether a dental implant is right for you and discuss possible alternatives.
